Day Four and Five after the Operation My breasts still feel full of milk (if you have ever breastfed before you will know exactly what I’m talking about). My breasts still feel that they are contracting slightly too – I don’t need analgesics but I just want to rub them to release these feelings!!! I must admit I’m a little concerned as no one told me about the possibility of having these feelings – I don’t know whether this is normal. I rang transform and spoke to the nurse, she reassured me and said it was normal to have these feelings as my breasts were repairing from the surgery and my implants are trying to settle into their pockets. I also made an appointment for in 9 days time to have my dressings removed. Hooray, I will be able to shower then. My husband says my breasts are softening up every day!!! But they are still swollen. Due to my loss of nipple sensation, my husband and I have made up a game. I have to close my eyes whilst he touches different parts of my breasts and I have to tell him when I can feel his touch. Apart from enjoying all this attention and I’m sure my husband is enjoying himself too, I have identified exactly where I have lost sensation. I do hope this return, as I had lots of sensation before the surgery, but I still wouldn’t swap my breasts for anything at this moment. |
